Cooling breath for this hot weather.

Roll in the side edges of your tongue towards the middle - don't panic if you can't do this - it's genetic - you can draw the air in through your teeth (which are together) instead. Breathe in through the rolled tongue or the teeth, close your mouth and breathe out normally through the nose.  Just for a few breaths.  You should be able to feel that the breath is cool on your tongue.  In fact this breath cools down the whole body.  N.B.  This practice is not suitable if you have low blood pressure or if you are in a polluted environment, as you have bypassed the filtering process of the nose.  Practice anytime you are too hot - good for hot weather, hot flushes etc.  First practice is called Sitali and the second Sitkari.  Enjoy and stay cool!
